Everything you love about tiramisu — the coffee, the cream, the cocoa — on a slice of toast. Elegant, fast, and completely plant-based.
I made this for my parents' anniversary, and honestly? It might be one of my favourite things I've ever put on a plate.
There's something about tiramisu that feels special — like it belongs at a celebration, like it took time and effort and a lot of love. This version takes ten minutes. But it tastes like all of those things anyway.
Crispy sourdough, hazelnut coffee spread, coconut yogurt piped on top, a generous dusting of cocoa, and fresh berries to finish. The kind of recipe you make for someone you love and watch their face change completely.

How to Make Tiramisu Toast (Overview)

This comes together in 3 simple steps:
1. Toast the Bread
Toast your sourdough until crispy and golden brown — this is the base that holds everything together.
2. Layer
Spread on your hazelnut coffee spread, then top with coconut yogurt. Pipe it if you want it to look beautiful. Spread it if you just want it fast. Both are equally delicious.
3. Finish & Serve
Dust generously with cocoa powder and top with fresh berries. Serve immediately.
Tips for Best Results
Toast the bread until really crispy — it needs to hold the toppings
Use piping for a beautiful presentation if you're making it for someone special
Any nut butter works if you don't have hazelnut coffee spread
Eat immediately after assembling so the toast stays crispy
